Scalby Lodge External Joinery

Case Study

Set in a wonderful location on the North Yorkshire coast, a group of traditional farm buildings have been refurbished into luxury holiday cottages on behalf of The Duchy of Lancaster.

The manufacture of the external joinery included the design of various traditional style windows to incorporate U-Values of 1.4 (Below Building Regulation Standard 1.6). The various window styles included traditional box Sliding Sash, Stormproof Casement windows and Yorkshire Sliders.
The windows manufactured for our client by Batty Joinery, are a testament to their workmanship and experience.

St. John’s Church

In 2007, Batty helped the church realise its dream – to build a centre for the benefit of the whole community.

Now a combined church & community centre, boasting a unique canteen area, bathroom facilities, two meeting rooms, bespoke staircases and large, modern windows. For disabled visitors, the complex features wheelchair access and meets all disability access regulations.
Not so long ago our church was nearing closure. With batty's help & enthusiasm the project was completed on time & budget. We now have a great future ahead of us.

Also known as the maltings, a former hull brewery building, the mash" recently underwent refurbishment and restoration work to bring it into the 21st century Accommodating city centre offices.

As well as manufacturing and supplying all of the windows to site, our specialist team painstakingly reproduced the cupola for the top of this Grade II listed building – a job that tested time, patience and skill.
