    Case Study

    The Wilson Centre image

As part of its £7m modernisation, Batty worked closely with the council and architect to create a contemporary space with bespoke reception desks, café, bar and public access to the internet.

Set deep in the heart of the city, this brand new centre is changing the way customers access council services.

    Charterhouse, Bell Tower

    Case Study

    Charterhouse, Bell Tower image

Once the childhood home of poet Andrew Marvell, this listed house and chapel is one of five Grade I listed buildings in Hull to have survived the 1940s blitz.

Over a period of four weeks, our experienced team of joiners transformed the leaking, decrepit dome into the impressive focal point that it is today. Our work was awarded a Gold Mark from the Hull Civic Society.

THE ORIGINAL 200 YEAR OLD BELL TOWER WAS IN A POOR STATE OF REPAIR. BATTY JOINERY MADE A MAGNIFICENT REPLICA THAT I’M SURE WILL SPAN AT LEAST ANOTHER TWO CENTURIES
John Netherwood, Chairman Hull Civic Society
