Batty Joinery

E Batty (Contractors) Ltd were established in 1919 and merged with the Hall Construction Group in 1968. Site fixing of joinery work used to be the main core of business employing over 30 joiners. The manufacture of joinery work was the smaller part of the business employing 5 joiners / machinists.

Group restructuring in 1990 led to the site fixing being carried out by Hall Construction with E Batty (Contractors) Ltd given the task of increasing the manufacturing side of the business. This also gave rise to a change of trading name to Batty Joinery Manufacturers.

The challenge proved very successful and in 2005 we moved into a purpose made 36,000ft workshop with state of the art machinery.

The company now employs over 30 time-served craftsmen. The office is manned by a dedicated team of 7 who between them have accumulated over 200 years of experience within the joinery manufacturing industry. We are now one of the largest bespoke joinery manufacturer in the area.

When requested, we also offer a site fixing service for reception counters and the more intricate staircases and balustrades.



We regularly deliver to all parts of the UK, the Channel Isles and occasionally to mainland Europe.

Turnover now stands at £2,000,000 and is based on the manufacture of bespoke joinery work including staircases, reception counters, bar fittings, doors and windows, special moulded sections etc – all to customer specified requirements.
